Koulibaly recalled the hilarious incident which took place when the Senegalese’s wife gave birth to his first son, in his piece on The Players Tribune.
When his wife called Koulibaly to inform him about her going into labour Sarri insisted the defender must stay and not leave as he needed him for the game that night. Opening up on the whole story he said:
Koulibaly did return in time for the game thinking Sarri is desperate for his help and did not want to let his team down.
What’s next?
The two might have had some good memories during their time together in Napoli but will tussle it out for Serie A title as the Italian has returned from the Premier League to take charge of Juventus.
